Food Trip Part I @ Tokyo Omotensando & Harajuku

Makgoli @ Seikoen

Tendon @ Ten-Ya

Grilled Pork @ Kohmen Omotesando

Ramen with Toppings at the side @ Kohmen

Almond Pudding with Strawberry Puree @ Kohmen

When we travel, we seldom go by tours. We prefer to explore the city by ourselves, try any restaurants that interest our taste buds *drool* or shop around the town ;) Life sure is good when you can walk in your own time ~~

Nissin Cup Noodles!

 Chicken Rush anyone?

I am a big fan of Nissin's Cup Noodles! Found various of flavors in one of the minimarts in Tokyo. I especially love the Cheese Curry.. Should I say YUMS or what <3 I used to eat alot of instant noodles when I was younger. I know.. it's not healthy.. But it's super easy to cook, and it's so good! Over the years I decreased my "consumption" of instant noodles, but I still go to the noodles section in supermarkets to see if they have new flavors, and buy some to try instead of stocking up at home!

Hojicha Latte

How do they know to put a heart on my HL? :p

I've found myself thinking about Hojicha Latte from Starbucks Japan since a year ago.. first time I tried it was in Shibuya after spending some time in that area -- 109 (Ichi Maru Kyu). Ever since then I've been going back to Starbucks for it. Hojicha Latte.. Hojicha Latte.. Even when we were at the airport, I had to get my last hojicha latte of the trip before going for the immigration checkpoint. Slurpps!

Macaroon Day!

Monsieur Pierre

Lovely Pink for Rose

I took a class on how to make macaroons together with my sister and a couple of friends. The offered flavors were pistachio and passion fruit, but since we (my sister and me :p) love rose macaroon so much we requested the French instructor to include rose flavor in our class <3

Pistachio greenn :D
After getting dropped off to this place, we met up with other friends and were all ready for some messy-dirty-fun baking! Apparently the instructor prepared all the ingredients (measured, weighed) in bowls, possibly knowing we might do damage to his very clean house!

So he showed us how to make the first batch (time-consuming... but it just have to be that way) with ease. Everything seemed so easy. Of course, he has been doing it alot. *tip: room must be dry to make macaroons. The whole process of learning went smoothly, with my sister and I doing the pink macaroons and the other 3 friends doing green. I love macaroons having light pastel colors. Pretty ooh~la~la..

I was never a fan of passion fruit flavor desserts. But the one he did was pretty good. Not too sour and not too sweet, very balanced. As you can see, the macaroons we did were in different sizes.. and of course with my sister being cute-sy and all, had to do mini bite-size macaroons. Good idea! Perfect for partaaaayyyy!

Ooo.. Bliss Dance!

Look at how she's dancing in front of Bay Bridge <3

She changes color too!

The news came up from Yahoo! some time ago about the arrival of Bliss Dance in the bay area. I was so excited to go check her out (I didn't know anything about it) just because I was feeling a little artistique :p I love how hipstamatic captured her "mood" -- color -- overlooking the Bay Bridge.

Where All The Magic Happens..

Aahh.. Disneyland! Always a great memory for me. Going there makes me happy and feel like a child again! My favorite disney princess has always been Cinderella. Bibbidi bobbidi boo! I think she has the most perfect ending among all the other princesses. I wonder if magic like the fairy godmother exists? I sure would want one!

Laline

I recently passed by this store while walking with my sister in Chestnut st. The unique decorations were so cute that I can't help but check it out. It's an Israeli brand, and opened the first US store in SF. Cool! Both of us oohs and aahs around the store. Since the store wasn't that busy (it was lunch time!) she had us tried on the scrubs. We especially liked the Ocean and Cherry Blossoms. I decided to get some for myself, and gifts for my friend H from Japan. A month later I made a trip to Tokyo to meet my friend, and passed the gift to her. Then I realized they have a store there! -_-"

Hillstone SF

This is the very first thing you will see on your left once you step into the restaurant. Busy chefs preparing and grilling those yummy steaks & ribss.. *droolllll* What I do sometimes while waiting for my table: stand next to this (picture) counter, look at them cook, and the amigos will give you a plate of shoestring fries (jusstt sometimes ssshhhhh :p) They are just really nice friendly people.

Oh! Their honey mustard is so goodd. Momma loves it especially. We even tried to buy for to go but they don't sell it :( Homemade honey mustard (thumbs up).. I always go there for that, the fries, and Hawaiian ribeye. Once I get home, I just don't weigh myself. Works well! No stress :p

Shoe Salon @ Saks Union Square

Bubbly bubbles pop! Oh so cute <3 and my love for shoes.. Unquestionable! Momma tells me all the time that shoes don't last.. which is true.. I've heard stories of shoes malfunction :s It's not a good idea when your heels decide to leave you while you walk on them.

Ozumo

Yamabuki
Fresh Uni on Mushroom Risotto (My fav!!)

Sacho Roll
I don't remember what's inside but it's hella good

I come here often when I want to have light dinner with my sister. Plus it's walking distance from where we live! Ozumo is the place to go to if you are feeling a little Japanese and wanna have konichiwa-fusion experience. Or you can grab a drink at the bar. Pretty awesome place to go with your date, or hang out with your friends. Oh oh! Their shabu-shabu is amazing.. Honestly, everything on the menu looks good. My sister and I both ordered the same menu whenever we go there.. tuna tataki salad, futago (spinach wrapped with beef topped with eggplant yums), grilled sweet potato, and definitely the risotto! Until one of our friend told us about the shabu-shabu. Yummssss....

go! go! go!

Oh you should make a reservation!

Mr. PK

My really good friend PK made this. Pound Cake served with Sliced Strawberries and whipped cream. It's so easy and it's good.. Oh what a sin it is to my belly! He cooks or bakes whenever he wants to, which is awesome to me because I don't cook! Or bake. So whenever I hang out at his place I'm well-fed :p

One of his recent addition to his shoes collection

Golden Gate Bridge

Oh yeahh.. the infamous Golden Gate Bridge, where the apes from "Planet of the Apes" headed to before going to the woods? I'm glad I went there on a clear sunny day. I was being "tourist for a day" with family friends visiting from Indonesia. I took them around the city; Lombard st, Palace of Fine Arts, Sausalito, Ghirardelli, here, and lastly Fisherman's Wharfs where we took a ferry that passed by Alcatraz.

Half Moon Bay

Went for a walk with my mom and brother in Half Moon Bay. Thought of trying Hipstamatic for this beautiful scenery. What do you think?

Having lived in San Fran for more than 6 years, I've only been to Half Moon Bay for like 3 times! I just realized how beautiful it is. Wished I could have gone there more often.

China Chen @ San Jose

Noodle Soup with Roast Chicken

My brother brought me to this place for a quick meal one time. They have sauteed radish cake which is pretty good. I like the roast chicken (above).

Mama's on Washington Square. Hearty food. Perfect for brunch. One of my must-go places in San Fran. They usually have a long wait line outside; I would say about 20-30 mins wait, or faster if you are lucky. (Cash only)
